Pinḥas ben Shemuʼel, Sefer Midrash Pinḥas

Pinḥas ben Shemuʼel, an itinerant rabbi in London and later in Plymouth published his sermons in a book called Sefer Midrash Pinḥas. The list of subscribers, most of whom belonged to the Great Synagogue, is included in the book and provides an important source on eighteenth-century Anglo-Jewry. The names are arranged according to synagogues.
