Description:

Upon Loewe's promotion to the position of Principal of the Ohel Moshe ve-Yehudit College at Ramsgate, Sir Moses Montefiore commissioned a distinguished artist, Michael Angelo Pittatore to paint a portrait of Louis Loewe to be displayed on the walls of the College's Lecture Hall.
